Self-other integration nel disturbo borderline di personalità

Abstract

Il disfunzionamento sociale ed i problemi interpersonali sono aspetti centrali della psicopatologia del Disturbo Borderline di Personalità (DBP), rivestendo una grande importanza sia dal punto di vista diagnostico che terapeutico, nonché nel decorso e quindi nella prognosi del disturbo. E’ stato ipotizzato che tale compromissione, nei soggetti con DBP, sia legata ad una difficoltà nel leggere e riconoscere accuratamente i segnali sociali, quali i comportamenti e le intenzioni altrui.

Social dysfunction and interpersonal problems represent central aspects in the psychopathology of Borderline Personality Disorder, playing an important role both in diagnostics and in therapeutics, and also in the prognosis of the disorder. It has been hypothesized that this impairment, in patients with BPD, is linked to a difficulty to read and recognize social cues, such as behavior and intentions of other people.
