Strategie di dissoluzione del supporto murale in Banksy e Blu

Abstract

La Street Art si è configurata, fin dalla sua nascita, come una pratica artistica dal carattere fortemente antagonista. Lo spazio urbano è il teatro in cui questa pratica è protagonista ed il muro il suo palcoscenico. La Street Art ha spesso riflettuto sul proprio supporto e sulle sue caratteristiche costitutive, anche a livello metalinguistico. Il presente studio intende assumere come oggetto d'analisi alcune opere di due celebri street artisti: i murales animati dell'italiano Blu e quelli che il britannico Bansky ha realizzato in Palestina. Al centro dell'interesse di questo lavoro vi è l'intenzione di mostrare come gli effetti di sfondamento della cornice e della superficie del supporto messi in campo dai due artisti permettano di creare alcuni slittamenti di senso relativi alle caratteristiche del muro inteso sia come elemento architettonico sia come elemento di controllo e separazione.

Since from the beginnig Street Art was characterized as an opposing artistic practice. Urban space is its theater and walls its stage. Street Art thinks often, even in a metalinguistic way, about the wall as support and its constitutive features. This paper analyzes some works of two world famous street artists: animated wall paintings made by italian artist Blu and the wall paintings made in Palestine by Banksy. This work is about showing how both artists try to break wall's frame and surface, searching for breaking effects. Due to this peculiar effects we can think about the wall both as an architectural, control and separation element.
