Autism Spectrum Disorder has been the subject of many studies, especially during the course of of different reference models have been analysed, since the etiology is It is still unknown and there are many studies about it. The DSM-V recognizes three main levels based on the severity of the disorder. Diagnosis is made based on observation of behaviour in relation to a rating scale, ADOS-2. According to DSM-V, autism spectrum disorder mainly affects two areas: communication and social interaction and the presence of narrow behaviours and interests stereotypical (aspects observed during the observation of the child). Early diagnosis is the prelude to implementing targeted intervention on the subject as soon as possible possible and to ensure that the trajectory of the disturbance is changed to the best way. It is possible to leverage on some tools that implement the deficit aspects by leveraging on Strengths of the subject. The intervention can be of a behavioral type (among which you can include the ABA methodology) or evolutionary (such as the Early Start Denver Model). |
