Il parenting disfunzionale nelle famiglie di 'Ndrangheta : neurosviluppo del comportamento criminale

Abstract

L’obiettivo del presente elaborato è quello d’indagare come il parenting disfunzionale e maltrattante possa inficiare sullo sviluppo psicofisico del bambino, facendo particolare riferimento alla genitorialità condotta tra le mura della ‘Ndrangheta. Da studi è difatti emerso come le esperienze infantili non appaganti aumentino la predisposizione del genitore a infliggere le medesime condizioni sui propri figli; ed è stato altresì osservato come subire traumi infantili -sia psicologicamente che fisicamente- comporti anomalie frontotemporali, specialmente sinistre. L’educazione impartita a questi bambini mira a costruire un individuo antisociale e criminale comportando un grande deficit che riguarda la sfera emotiva; le emozioni, in particolare nel contesto ‘ndranghetista, subiscono una totale repressione ledendo la capacità dei soggetti di esprimerle e riconoscerle. L’allontanamento dei minori dal contesto disfunzionale mafioso -all’interno del quale sono costretti a vivere- sembra essere d’aiuto sia nello sviluppo di competenze sociali e cognitive, che nello sviluppo di quelle competenze emotive che, altrimenti, sarebbero per sempre represse. Attraverso l’introduzione e la messa in atto del provvedimento giuridico “Liberi di scegliere” è finalmente possibile prendere in mano le redini di vite già scritte, fornendo ai bambini gli strumenti di sostegno necessari per processare i traumi subiti ed evitare un destino criminale e cruento, mentre agli adulti viene fornito il sostegno necessario che li educa e prepara alla sana genitorialità.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how dysfunctional and abusive parenting can affect the psychophysical development of the child, with particular reference to parenting conducted within the walls of the 'Ndrangheta. Studies have shown that negative childhood experiences increase the willingness of parents to impose the same conditions on their children; and it has also been observed how suffer childhood trauma -both psychologically and physically- lead to frontotemporal abnormalities, predominantly left-sided. The education given to these children aims to build an antisocial and criminal individual involving a deficit that affects the emotional sphere; emotions, particularly in the context of ‘Ndrangheta, suffer a total repression damaging the ability of the subjects to express and recognize them. The removal of children from the dysfunctional mafia context, seems to help both in the development of social and cognitive skills, and in the development of those emotional skills that, otherwise, would be forever repressed. Through the introduction and implementation of the legal provision "Liberi di Scegliere" it’s finally possible to take the reins of lives already written, providing children with the necessary support tools to process trauma and avoid a criminal and bloody fate, while adults are provided with the necessary support that educates and prepares them for a healthy parenting.
