This comparative oncology study took into consideration 480 human cancer patients, who had as many dogs, over a period of time between 2015 and 2019 residing in 7 Italian provinces distributed between Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, and of which 240 owners of dogs affected by canine mast cell tumor grade I and II. An attempt was made to acquire information that could relate the lifestyle of the owners with the onset of canine mast cell tumor. It was highlighted that the onset of canine mast cell tumor was significantly related to the sex of the animal and the age (tumor wass diagnosed around 7 years of age). It is likely that there could have been related to the type of diet, while the geographical location, as well as the presence of smokers in the family, were poorly relateden_US
