La musica non è secondaria : l'effetto di un training musicale su funzioni esecutive e ritmico-lessicali

Abstract

Sono ormai numerose le evidenze empiriche che mostrano l’efficacia degli interventi musicali su funzioni cognitive e motorie: la musicoterapia infatti trova conferma delle sue basi scientifiche nei numerosi studi compiuti negli ultimi decenni. La realizzazione del progetto “La musica non è secondaria”, che viene esplicato in questo elaborato punta a sottolineare l’effetto che di un training musicale in bambini frequentanti la classe prima in una scuola secondaria di primo grado su funzioni esecutive, lessicali, ritmiche ed emotive. Al termine della ricerca, sono emerse differenze significative nei bambini che hanno partecipato al training musicale, i quali mostrano miglioramenti nelle funzioni esecutive e in funzioni legate all’esecuzione ritmica musicale.

The number of empirical evidences demonstrating the effectiveness of musical procedures on cognitive and motor functions is increasing. In addition, music-therapy finds its scientific groundwork in several studies that have been conducted in the last decades. The project "Music is not secondary" attentively focused on the implementation of a training on children attending the first grade in a lower secondary school. This study considers the effects of training on the children's executive, lexical, rhythmic and emotional functions. The results of the implementation of this project have ultimately demonstrated the presence of significant differences in the children participating in this study. The project has also shown children's improvements in the executive functions and in the functions linked to musical rhythmic performances.
