Sviluppo del linguaggio e precursori della teoria della mente

Abstract

Il linguaggio è ormai oggetto di studio della psicologia da molti anni. Diversi autori hanno approvato a delineare i fattori scatenanti dell’acquisizione del linguaggio, quali siano i processi coinvolti nell’apprendimento, quali fattori ne influenzino lo sviluppo e quali siano le fasi fondamentali dello sviluppo del linguaggio. A queste teorie si sono aggiunti negli ultimi anni i risultati sperimentali ottenuti dalle neuroscienze che illustrano chiaramente i fattori anatomo fisiologici coinvolti in questo processo di acquisizione e sviluppo del linguaggio. Nel corso degli anni gli studiosi si sono chiesti quale sia il ruolo del linguaggio nel processo di acquisizione della teoria della mente (TOM). Il presente studio si propone di esporre le principali teorie sullo sviluppo del linguaggio e i sui precursori della teoria della mente confrontandoli con i risultati ottenuti in seguito allo studio longitudinale condotto su bambini di età compresa tra i 18 e i 30 mesi.

Language has been a subject of study for psychology for many years. Several authors have agreed to outline the triggers of language acquisition, which are the processes involved in learning, which factors influence its development and which are the fundamental stages of language development. In recent years the experimental results obtained by neurosciences have been added to these theories, clearly outlining the physiological and anatomical factors involved in the process of language acquisition and development. Over the years, scholars have wondered what’s the role of language in the process of acquiring the Theory of mind (TOM). The present study aims to expose the main theories on the development of language and the precursors of the Theory of mind, comparing them with the results obtained following a longitudinal study conducted on children aged between 18 and 30 months.
